The first release of 2016, it's the latest from Color Infusion. These dolls seem to be taking the place of the Dynamite Girls. I'd love to hear what you collectors think. This capsule collection appears to be based on the music industry--which is convenient, as Integrity already has lots of accessories available from its Jem and the Holograms collection, as well as timely, with the latest addition of the HBO series Vinyl, which I happen to enjoy.
The dolls retail for $110 each--which I think is pretty pricey, if they are meant to replace the Dynamite Girls, which have always been more affordable. At past conventions, however, these dolls have had lots of great details, which may make them worth the price increase.
Fan Xi appears in Crushin' It!, limited to 650, scheduled to deliver in late April. She uses the cream skin tone with strawberry blond hair in a braided ponytail, and comes dressed in a pink jacket over a printed top, faux leather shorts, and boots. She also includes earrings, a ring and a wireless microphone.
Jaeme Costas appears as Problem Child, scheduled to ship in late April as well, limited to 650. She is in the Latino skin tone with rooted brunette hair, and is dressed in a floral printed dress with lace bustier top and faux leather harness, with booties to complete her look. She also includes a microphone, earrings and ring. I like the harness details of her outfit. It makes me wish I collected this size.
Dree Hill appears as Best Thing Ever in an edition of 650, delivering in March. She uses the light honey skin tone with a honey blonde mix hair. She wears faux snakeskin skiny pants, a pink bra under a gold mesh top, and high heeled sneaker boots. She includes a golden microphone, necklace, and rings. And ack! I love her outfit and her hair!
In The House Tenzin Dahkling is limited to 750 and will ship in March. He uses the FR Homme body in the Japan skin tone with rooted black hair. He comes dressed in a decorated burgundy jeans, printed tee, and a hooded faux leather jacket. His accessories include a miniature watch, a platinum record, and very cool boots.
Turn It Up! Callum Windsor is limited to 650 and is schedule to ship in April. He is in the FR white skin tone with silver remix hair with a lavender streak, which I love. He wears a hot pink Chanel-inspired suit and bright yellow undershirt. His accessories include rings, silver sunglasses, a silver microphone and zebra printed high-tops.
So what are your thoughts? Are you crazy about them? Have you preorder the collection already? I see that many of these dolls are still available from dealers, but that may just be a combination of the prices and edition sizes.
