Amazon has now posted the latest Dolly Bureau pattern and tutorial book by Megann Zabel for sale with Prime shipping. This book differs a little from the previous two volumes in the following ways:
- Megann shares her love for teeny tiny dolls in this book--both fashion dolls and BJDs--and it really shows! All models in this book measure 5.5" (14 cm) or smaller. It's perfect for those collectors who love tiny dolls.
- The book includes several helpful tutorials in how to make props for your dolls. My favorite is the super fun and easy polymer clay duck tutorial!
- This volume includes instructions on how to fit basic patterns to the doll you have. I find this to be an essential part of sewing, and I've never seen this covered in a doll-related book before.
The book is 8.5x11", 102 full color pages, retails for $27.95, and the photography is amazing. Even if you don't sew, if you are a fan of micro dolls, this book is a must-have. It's just gorgeous. The Look Inside feature isn't yet available on Amazon, but it should be up in a few days. I'll let you know as soon as it goes live.
The variety of dolls is really fun--from baby shaped Kelly to Picco Neemo to Mattel's Dazzle dolls and Kelly. There are many super tiny BJDs, OOAK dolls and other props as well. Megann has an Etsy shop where she sells many tiny dresses as well--if you're like me and can't be bothered to actually complete a project yourself!
